Alexander Levy Secures Maiden Win at China Open

Alexander Levy Secures Maiden Win at China Open
The French are fast becoming a group to look out for on tour. With Alexander Levy becoming the latest Frenchman to scoop up victory at the China Open last Sunday.

Levy smiled his way to a 19-under 269 finish, 4-strokes ahead of England’s Tommy Fleetwood. The 23-year-old’s calm nature and ease were apparent throughout the tournament, as he led the charge from Friday.

“You need to take the pleasure on the golf course and keep the smile because if you are upset about a missed shot or not lucky, it’s not good to have this feeling on the golf course,” Levy remarked afterwards. “You need to enjoy and have the smile.”

Not even a double bogey on the 15th during his final round could wreck Levy’s positivity. As the young golfer was able to swiftly recover, birdieing the final two holes in order to claim his first professional victory.

“I hit one of my best shots on 17. I didn’t feel pressure on the golf course because I’m confident.”

With his first win out of the way the Titleist player will now be looking firmly ahead to the rest of his second season on tour and hoping his confidence continues to build.
