Alligators, the Unwelcomed Spectators at the Zurich Classic

Alligators, the Unwelcomed Spectators at the Zurich Classic
Players had a few unwelcome distractions as they tried to navigate the Zurich Classic in New Orleans over the weekend.  With some very brave golfers taking matters into their own hands.

Texan John Peterson proved he could deal with the unwanted attention.  Helping his playing partner James Driscoll out of a bunker bind on the 18th.  Peterson can be seen on video using a rake to shoo one pesky alligator back into the water during Friday’s second round.  Seen below in an instagram video.

However all the heroics couldn’t help Peterson in the long run, with the 25-year-old failing to make Friday’s cut.

But New Orleans proved fortunate for another young golfer, as 22-year-old Sueng-Yul Noh cruised into contention during Saturday’s play.  Armed with the incredible Nike VRS Covert 2.0 Tour Driver, Noh became the only player to ever complete 54 holes without a bogey at TPC Louisiana.

A final round of 71 ensured Noh his first PGA Tour victory, 2-strokes ahead of Andrew Svoboda and Robert Streb.  The Nike player’s success on Sunday also makes him the youngest winner so far this year on Tour.
