Lucas Glover defeated long-term opponent and close friend Jonathan Byrd on the first play-off hole to seal a win in the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow on Sunday May 8th.
The players, who according to Glover have played over 100 rounds together since their teenage years, were paired in a play-off after both pulled out strong finishes to draw level at the end of the end of play.
With just a one-shot lead, Glover, who plays Nike VR Pro Combo irons, wound up his session with the three convincing pars, with his final shot of the round an impressive seven foot putt that left him three under at 69 for the round.
