The WGC - Accenture Match Play Championship gets underway later today Wednesday, and world number three Tiger Woods is looking forward to the change in format the event brings.
For much of the year, professional golfers compete in stroke play tournaments, when the winner is the player who takes the fewest number of shots over four rounds.
However, this weeks tournament at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Marana, Arizona is, is as the name suggests, decided on a match play basis.
This means that players are paired to compete against each other head-to-head, with losers going home and victors advancing to the next round until there is one man left standing.
