Seve Ballesteros is happy with his progress after undergoing a second round of chemotherapy following surgery to remove a brain tumour.
Backed by an army of well-wishers from around the golfing world, Seve underwent four operations last year.
Now he is making steady progress and has declared himself pleased with the results of the chemotherapy treatment.
On his official website, the five-time major winner wrote: "Despite a slow recovery I am on the right track and my spirit and determination are still unshakeable.
"If the weather improves I can leave the house and go back to normal life."
At the recent Royal Trophy, in which Asia beat Europe, Jose Maria Olazabal revealed that Ballesteros has set his sights on captaining his continent once more.
Olazabal was forced to cover for his countryman this year and he saw Asia triumph for the first time in the short history of the event.
