Cleveland's CG15 Wedges are possibly the "best spinning set of wedges to ever be made", it has been claimed.

Writing for Golf Gear Review, Don Fisher said he had been itching to get his hands on the new Cleveland CG15 line of wedges ever since he first heard about them.

Available in three types of finish, Mr Fisher tried out the Cleveland CG15 Black Pearl Wedge range which he said were the best looking wedges he'd ever seen in his life.

Crucially, they also perform when out on the course thanks to technology which allows golfers to generate extra backspin.

Playing with a tour-quality ball, Mr Fisher wrote in the review that it was clear from the outset that the wedges "had what it takes to really spin the ball around the greens".

Indeed, Mr Fisher is so impressed with the clubs that he urges golfers to buy a set as soon as they can as high-spinning style wedges have a limited shelf-life.

This is because new PGA rules come into effect after December 31st which means new wedges will have to have smaller grooves.

The Cleveland CG15 Black Pearl also comes with a wider sole width near the heel and a narrower sole width near the toe to improve bunker performance.
