Adidas create golf shoe to thrive in worst of winter conditions
Although arguably not the most desirable in terms of appearance, Adidas has developed a golf shoe which it describes as the "ultimate in wet weather footwear".

The Adidas MudRunner golf shoe has been fashioned with a half-boot design, with extra ankle cushioning for when conditions are at their worst.

Players are guaranteed a more stable stance when hitting a golf ball in the muddiest underfoot conditions thanks to a wider heel and forefoot base and the use of a Stable Base Technology sole unit.

Golf Monthly remarked in a review of the golf shoe: "The styling might not be to everyone's taste, but when the winter bites this has all the attributes to stay dry and comfortable."

Other attributes of the Adidas golf shoe are the enhanced comfort and cushioning created by cleverly-placed foam padding in the heel, collar, tongue and footbed of the product.

Among the professionals on the PGA Tour who complete their rounds wearing Adidas golf shoes are Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose and Dustin Johnson.
