FootJoy's new Icon golf shoes are likely to appeal to golfers who value both style and functionality, it has been claimed.

In Golf Monthly's review of the FootJoy range, the publication notes how the Icons feature a leather covered fit-bed and different densities of thermoplastic urethane to ensure comfort and stability.

The fit-bed is designed to imitate the shape of a foot to promote a snug fit, while the thermoplastic urethane is positioned in certain parts of the outsole to boost performance.

"FootJoy has done an excellent job of retaining the stunning looks that made the Classics so popular, while also adding technologically advanced performance and comfort," the review states.

The Icon golf shoes supplement FootJoy's already extensive existing range, which includes FootJoy DryJoy Series Golf Shoes, FootJoy AQL Series Golf Shoes and FootJoy SYNR-G Series Golf Shoes.

Meanwhile, golfers can choose to protect their existing footwear through the purchase of the FootJoy Golf Shoes Care Kit and FootJoy Shoes Tree.
