Tiger Woods may retire if slump continues - Bernard Gallacher
Bernard Gallacher believes Tiger Woods may retire from the game of golf if he fails to stop his slide down the world rankings.

Woods is without a tournament victory in two years and has dropped from number one to 49 in the space of ten months.

Former European Ryder Cup captain Gallacher has suggested the slump could spell the end for the 14-time major winner.

"I can see a possibility of Tiger packing it in," the 62-year-old told Reuters. "I can see him getting to the point where he is fed up.

"If he doesn't feel like he can win majors any more then he might just pack it in and concentrate on his foundation and try to redeem himself to the public by doing good work for his foundation."

The Scot went on to suggest that Woods is "not competing properly", which suggests his desire is on the wane.
