Inbee Park Secures First Win of 2014

Inbee Park Secures First Win of 2014
In a final round reminiscent of 2013, Inbee Park and Suzann Pettersen went head-to-head during the World Ladies Championship at Mission Hill in China.

Unlike 2013, Park emerged the victor on Sunday. Capturing her first win since the U.S. Women’s Open in June.

“Last year I was leading going into the final round and I lost to Suzann,” said world number 1 Park afterwards. “I knew that I left something out there last year so coming back this year I definitely wanted to win and that's what I just did.”

Despite difficult weather conditions the South Korean held her nerve. Finishing the final round with an impressive 6-under 67, five strokes ahead of Pettersen.

“Inbee played fantastic today under a little tougher conditions. There were a few extra elements of weather that we hadn't seen earlier but I feel like I played average, nothing better. I didn't go out and shoot six under like she did.”
