Jordan Spieth Dominates at the Australian Open
Jordan Spieth has won the Australian Open after a sensational final round of 8-under-63. Earning the 21-year-old golfer his second professional win.

Setting a new course record, Spieth is the first American to win the tournament in over two decades. Finishing 6-shots clear of his nearest competition and 15-strokes ahead of last year’s winner and world number one, Rory McIlroy. A feat even the Northern Irishman had to acknowledge.

Entering the final day of the tournament in a three-way tie for the lead, Spieth quickly set about removing himself from the pack. With an arsenal including the Titleist 915D2 Driver, the Titleist 915F Fairway 3-Wood and the Titleist AP2 714 Irons, the young golfer managed four birdies on the front nine and a further four on the back. A result Spieth himself found astonishing.

“I didn't think the round was out there but the putts just kept going in,” Spieth said afterwards. “It's the best round I've ever played, the best win I've ever had, it's pretty awesome.”

The Texan is now hoping he’ll be able to carry the momentum forward as he heads into 2015. Using his Australian Open win in the same way McIlroy did over the last twelve months.

“If I had the follow-up year Rory had this year, I think I'd be pleased,” stated Spieth.

We bet you would!
