Kevin Streelman Wins at Travelers after Almost Missing the Cut
Kevin Streelman stunned crowds at the Travelers Championship on Sunday as he stormed into contention during the final round. Racking up consecutive birdies on his last seven holes to win his second PGA Tour event.

The 35-year-old went from missing the cut at the U.S. Open earlier this month to finishing at Travelers with a record-tying birdie run.  A feat even the Wilson Golf player was stunned by. Remarking to a reporter from CBS that it was “just one of those days where I felt I couldn’t miss.”

Streelman’s rise to the top of the leaderboard on Sunday seemed to come out of nowhere as he began to sink birdie after birdie. With live reactions coming in over Twitter.

A seventh birdie on his final hole left Spain’s Sergio Garcia and South Korea’s K.J. Choi joint runners up one-stroke behind Streelman’s amazing 15-under total.

“Obviously he played amazing on the back nine,” said Garcia afterwards. “We were also trying, but I wasn't able to do it. But I think that, you know, at the end of the day he played really, really well. I feel like I played quite nicely and it just wasn't my time.”

Check out the list of some of the equipment that helped Streelman secure his incredible Travelers Championship achievement.
