Spanish insurance company Reale Seguros has signed on to sponsor the Open de Espana for three years as part of a renewed agreement with the Royal Spanish
Golf Federation.
The European Tour event - which will now be called the Reale Seguros Open de Espana - is set to take place at the RCG de Sevilla in May.
As part of the move, the firm will provide a yearly contribution of €1.5 million (£1.2 million) in what is an extension of an agreement formed in 2006 to mark the provider's commitment to the sport.
Luigi Lana, chief executive of Reale Seguros Generales, said: "It is a great pleasure for us to be associated with a growing and dynamic sector and we at Reale Seguros are particularly proud of our contribution to its growth."
The company is set to continue to support a range of other initiatives promoted by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation to further illustrate its commitment to the world of golf.
