Rory McIlroy and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki got 2014 off to an exciting start, announcing their engagement over their respective Twitter feeds.
Throughout 2013 there had been rumours of breakups and makeups surrounding the sport couple, but the announcement on Tuesday put all negative chatter to rest.
The Northern Irish golfer posted a picture collage with the caption “My first victory of 2014.”
After a pretty dire season on the greens the Nike player will be hoping 2014 is a different kind of year professionally. With his win at the Australian Open and now an engagement it will be interesting to see how McIlroy fares once the season begins.
