Rory McIlroy Confirms Return to the Honda Classic
Rory McIlroy has announced he will be participating in the Honda Classic in Palm Beach, Florida later this month.

Saying, “I really can’t wait to get back to The Honda. It is one of my favourite events of the year, and winning in 2012 was an important landmark in my career.”

It was at this tournament 12 months ago that the Nike player famously walked off the course just eight holes into the second round, later claiming tooth pain as the reason. But a difficult 2013 seems to be behind McIlroy, with the young golfer finally looking settled both on and off the course.

“I’m playing really well now, enjoying the game much more and I am looking forward to getting back to PGA National,” McIlroy said this week.

While the 24-year-old is still on the hunt for his first win of 2014 he’s confident his game is up to the challenge.

“I feel good about my game and feel like I’m back to the place that I want to be. I’m driving the ball well, hitting the ball solid and giving myself plenty of chances for birdies. If I can keep doing that, the wins will come.”

McIlroy will be hoping for another victory at the Honda Classic where he’ll be playing alongside some serious competition, including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Zach Johnson.
