Sergio Garcia Earns his Only Win of 2013
In terms of performance it has been a relatively quiet season for Sergio Garcia.  But that all changed on Sunday when the 33-year-old sailed to victory at the Thailand Golf Championship.  Finishing four strokes ahead of Henrik Stenson.

Garcia turned heads from the beginning of the tournament when he chose his girlfriend, Katharina Boehm as his caddie.  But the partnership seemed to be the winning formula the Spaniard has lacked this season, having claimed his last title at the Johor Open in December 2012.

“It was great, an amazing week,” Garcia said afterwards.  “I'm very, very happy, and I can't wait to go back home to Switzerland and kind of sleep on it a little bit.”

With Stenson coming off such a fantastic year, Garcia knew it would be a difficult task to keep the Swede at bay.

“He's been playing so amazingly great, and he did.  I started well, but he also did.  He kept hitting good shot after good shot,” remarked Garcia.

But it was the TaylorMade player who ultimately succeeded.  Marking Garcia’s fourth victory on the Asian Tour.
