YE Yang triumphs over Graeme McDowell
Korean professional golfer YE Yang became the first golfer through to the second round of the WGC-Accenture Match Play yesterday (February 22nd) as he saw off competition from Graeme McDowell.

The talented player - who turned professional in 1996 - enjoyed a two and one victory over the former US Open champion.

McDowell was in the lead after five holes, but Yang managed to seal the win with birdies on the following two and a par on the ninth, where his Northern Irish opponent double-bogeyed.

The gap was brought back down to one on the short 12th hole, but McDowell failed to approach to four feet on the 17th and the triumph went in favour of his talented opponent - the second year in a row Yang has knocked him out of the competition.

"I made six birdies today, I played decent golf but I ran into a man that played extremely well," said McDowell after the match.ADNFCR-1532-ID-801300535-ADNFCR
