Steve Stricker feels that he needs to become more consistent with his golf irons
despite successfully defending his title at the John Deere Classic.
The world number four got off to a blistering start in the PGA Tour event by shooting a 60 in the opening round.
And he held on to this momentum to land the spoils by two shots from Paul Goydos and give himself a confidence boost ahead of the upcoming British Open.
Despite sealing his ninth career PGA Tour victory, Stricker feels that he would like to improve the way he hits some of his golf irons and feels that he needs to "become a more consistent player".
If Sticker follows up with a triumph at St Andrews in the British Open it will be his first major victory.
Struggling for distance and accuracy when playing approach shots into a green, maybe a set of golf irons with cavity backs will help.
