Longridge Pin Point Laser Range Finder

Just got my first golf gadget.A toss up between a gps and range finder, but went for the latter.
The longridge pin point range finder is easy to use up to 180-200 yds out and then needs a very steady hand over that distance.Great for par 3's and when you are around the 8 or 9 iron distance.I am a 20 handicapper and it just gives me confidence to hit a full shot and I find I'm not coming up short as much as I was.
The difference between the 150 marker and the true distance [depending where the flag is] can be a full iron so this takes the guesswork out of the equation.
Don't worry about your handicap,go on the range and hit a few balls and then check the average distance with each iron.Ther are more expensive ones on the market but this is good enough for your fist one.
Like I said,it just gives you the confidence to hit the shot.

Just played my first round with the range finder. It was a fine sunny day. Im a 21 h/cap.
I found it very useful for working out hazzards from the tee and most impressive was using it on my approach shots to the green. (saved me from using the wrong club length a couple of times.) Simple device to use, almost instant yardage. Not too easy getting an accurate result from beyond 200yds to the pin, as I couldnt keep it steady enough, but for the money, a very useful device and would reccomend over a costly GPS.
My course also still has a few winter greens, so unlike GPS, I was able to get a reading to the actual pin on the day, where GPS cannot show winter green yardage.
