Players who like to test their game on different courses will be interested in a newly-launched service for mobile phone users.
Golf.com's subscription-free Course Finder is a downloadable application allowing golfers to personalise a search engine which will find them a suitable course to play based on chosen criteria.
Preferences and favourites are then stored by the system, making subsequent course searches more relevant.
Kenneth Fuchs, vice president of Sports Illustrated Digital, who has joined with Golf.com on the project, commented: "Through this partnership our unique and highly used golf course database will now be available to golfers any time, anywhere."
Among the useful features for course hoppers, will be the ability to compare course types, ratings, amenities and fees of each venue.
Contact information can also be accessed, meaning phone owners can ring up clubs with any queries at the press of a button.
