A new course to be built on Merseyside will attempt to mimic some of the world's best par three holes.
As a part of the £10 million Liverpool Sports Park project, a nine-hole pay-as-you-play course will feature copies of the 12th at Augusta, 8th at Troon and 17th at Sawgrass.
Co-director of Liverpool Sports Park plc, Jonathan Snellgrove, told the Liverpool Daily Post: "The golf course, as with all of the components in the Liverpool Sports Park, will be a world-class facility."
"The landscaping will reflect the character of the holes from which they were inspired.
"The links holes will therefore have a more natural, coastal feel and the parkland holes a manicured and ornamental feel."
The 12th at Augusta, nicknamed the 'Golden Bell' by Ben Crenshaw, is known to play harder than it looks.
"It doesn't matter what the conditions are, every year the toughest shot at Augusta is number 12," Tiger Woods told Golf Today.
