A celebrity golf event which claims to be the second ever carbon neutral tournament, will get underway in the US next Friday, (March 7th).
The Beyond the Lights Celebrity Golf Classic aims to nullify the carbon footprint of the competition in the areas of venue energy use, vehicle consumptions, and player and attendee travel
Some 150 golfers, including 30 celebrities, will tee off at Wolfdancer Golf Club in Austin, Texas for the charity fundraiser.
"We are using French Paper Company's recycled paper stock, manufactured with 100% clean, renewable hydroelectric energy produced at its mill, and the publications use hazelnut oil inks in their printing," revealed chairman Heather Page.
Actors Brad Leland and Kyle Chandler will host the tournament, where US Green Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid, will be on offer to anyone recording a hole in one.
