US business tycoon Donald Trump has received the backing of Scottish business leaders over his proposed golf course development in Aberdeenshire.
A group of six powerful organisations issued a joint statement in support of the plans, reportedly amid fears that a rejection of Trump's move would be damaging to Scotland's reputation among international investors, reports Scotland on Sunday.
As well as two championship courses, the resort would include a five-star hotel, golf academy and almost 1,000 holiday homes.
"We have consistently argued that Scotland's planning system ought to give far greater weight to the economic benefits of development," David Lonsdale, assistant director of the ABI told the newspaper.
Meanwhile, talks are underway between South and North Korea to arrange tours to one of the most exclusive golf courses in the world, reports the Reuters.
The course near Pyongyang in North Korea is a favourite of the country's leader Kim Jong-il.
