Ian Poulter, the Brit who declared that he is the closest to competing with the force that is Tiger Woods, finished the first round of the Jonny Walker Classic in New Delhi on four over par.
The flamboyant dresser made hard work of holes four to eight with three double bogies, before battling through to end the day with consecutive birdies.
Poulter, whose comments have been the source of amazement on the circuit, donned a gold shirt and chocolate coloured trousers at the tournament yesterday (Thursday, February 28th).
At the end of last month, he told Golf World magazine: "I just don't rate anyone else. I really respect everyone who is a professional golfer.
"But I know I haven't played to my full potential yet. And, when that happens, it will just be me and Tiger."
Australia's Uno Park led the field on ten under par after today's second round.
