Padraig Harrington, who comes into this year's Welsh Open at the Celtic Manor Resort next month as the Open champion, feels he can learn a lot from the course.
The Irishman, who consolidated his status as one of the world's top players by becoming the first European player to win the major in eight years, has noted the fact that the Newport venue will host the Ryder Cup in 2010.Harrington, who will make his tournament debut when teeing off on May 29th, said of the course: "I've heard a lot of good things about it.
"I hear that it should provide a great challenge which will hopefully suit my game and provide good preparation for the tough conditions we can expect at the US Open a couple of weeks later."Home favourite Bradley Dredge will be hoping to go one better this year after being demoted to joint-second place in 2007 when South African winner Richard Sterne
sunk a birdie at the 18th. Check out Padraig's bag here.
