Ireland's Paul McGinley leads the PGA BMW Championship at Wentworth after a sparkling seven-under par 65 in the first round.
McGinley set a new course record, managing to make birdies at all four par fives on his way to the top of the leaderboard after day one.
Sweden's Robert Karlsson was positioned in second, only one shot back, while Aussie Marcus Fraser sat in third place after carding 67.
Leader McGinley enjoyed the testing conditions provided by the course, which was redesigned by Ernie Els, who finished three-over after going round in 75.
McGinley commented: "When the course is playing hard and fast like this, I think this is a real proper test of golf."
He went on: "I dont think we're tested enough on course management anymore and this is what the game was initially designed around and I revel in it - I love conditions like this."
