Henrik Stenson intends to reclaim his number one spot on the European Tour Order of Merit at this week's BMW Asian Open.
The Swede is aiming to take top spot back from newly-crowned US Masters champion Trevor Immelman when the event gets underway at the Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club on Thursday (April 24th).
A triple bogey eight at the ninth in the final round three years ago scuppered Stenson's chances of winning the tournament - he had been three shots clear with ten holes to play.
According to the 32-year-old, China is a pleasurable destination in which to play.
He commented: "The quality of golf courses is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoy playing courses in China and in front of the enthusiastic golf fans there."
Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin will be defending his title against a field which will include Greg Norman and Retief Goosen.
