13-Ft Alligator Gives New Meaning to Golf “Hazard”
It’s easy to see why golfers in the UK could be jealous of their Floridian counterparts. Gorgeous weather throughout most of the year makes their time on the greens more accessible and possibly even more enjoyable.

But would you be willing to put up with a 13-foot alligator walking around during your leisurely rounds? That’s exactly what some golfers have to weigh up before hitting the Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood, Florida.

The golf club made global news last week after a picture of one alligator, snapped by a member went viral. With some even stating the image was doctored or a fake.

Leaving the Myakka Pines general manager to clear up any confusion. “We get ‘em that big,” Mickie Zada told the New York Daily News.

Adding, “We are known for our alligators. The wildlife is prolific. They don’t bother people, as long as people stay away from them.”

Not too sure that’s a theory we’d like to test!  Check out the enormous gator, recently named “Goliath” below.
