Ben Martin Scores First PGA Tour Win as Fans Watch from Swimming Pools
Ben Martin won his first-ever PGA Tour event yesterday at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. With the golfer managing to hold on during a shaky final round to secure the title in Las Vegas.

Martin, who was the overnight leader, ran into some trouble on Sunday with Kevin Streelman leading a charge for the front. But the 27-year-old was able to hold his ground, regaining the lead with an incredible 45-foot eagle putt on the 16th hole.

"It was an awesome way to finish," Martin said afterwards. "I didn't feel like I had much going all day. Four under on my last four to cap my first win was just awesome."

And that wasn't the only awesome thing happening at TPC Summerlin.

It might sound crazy but organisers for the event decided to take the golf tournament and infuse it with what Las Vegas does best - a pool party.

In a statement last month the tournament Director, Adam Sperling explained, "We wanted to really take a page from the energy in Las Vegas and elevate the fans experience inside our tournament."

Spectators were treated to two pools set up between the 17th and 18th holes offering them an unusual way to catch the action. As well as four additional pools located on The Hill, the tournaments hospitality area.

With multiple pictures posted on Twitter it looks like the pools were a big hit with fans.  But can you see this idea making its way to other events or will it be a case of what happens in Vegas?
