Charley Hull Becomes Youngest Winner of the Ladies Order of Merit
Charley Hull has capped off an incredible 2014 season by winning the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit. Making her the youngest-ever recipient at just 18 years of age.

This latest achievement comes one-year after the golfer from Kettering was awarded Rookie of the Year. Hull followed up this honour by recording nine-top-10 finishes in 2014, including her first professional win at the Lalla Meryem Cup in March.

Her tie for fifth at this past weekend’s Dubai Ladies Masters put her at the top of the money list for the season, almost €30,000 ahead of runner-up Gwladys Nocera from France.

“It’s good to win,” Hull told reporters afterwards.  “On the back nine today, I just thought don’t make any silly mistakes.  I doubled the first but got two birdies on the bounce back so I was pretty happy with myself there.”

The English golfer, who is currently ranked number 38 in the world, has yet to earn her LPGA card but is more than happy to continue her great success on the Ladies European Tour.  With Hull hoping 2015 brings more wins and possibly her first major victory, after a brilliant showing at the Women’s British Open in August.

“I’ll just try to win a tournament each week - that would be brilliant,” she said. “But Majors are something special, especially this year, coming close to my home tournament, I didn't finish off on the last day.”

We can’t wait to see what Hull does in the New Year!
