Dustin Johnson’s Back and “Made to Win” at Doral

Dustin Johnson’s Back and “Made to Win” at Doral
Dustin Johnson is back and already making his mark. Winning Sunday’s WGC-Cadillac Championship, 8-strokes ahead of World Number One, Rory McIlroy.

Armed with the latest TaylorMade equipment, including the AeroBurner TP Driver, R15 3-Wood and the Tour Preferred MB Irons, Johnson cruised to the top of the leaderboard during the tournament’s final round. Taking advantage of the sensational collapse of J.B. Holmes, who had entered Sunday with a 5-stroke lead.

Johnson’s only a few weeks back from a six-month leave of absence but is already proving his game is more than stellar. Posting three-top-5 finishes in his last five tournaments.

“It’s one of my biggest wins, especially after a long layoff,” the 30-year-old told reporters yesterday. “But I’ve been working hard on my game and on me.”

This latest win makes nine career victories for the American and his second World Golf Championship title as well as moving the golfer up to number seven in the world golf rankings.

With his career firmly back in place, Johnson will surely be hoping to maintain the momentum as he looks ahead to next month’s Masters Tournament at Augusta.

While Johnson’s weekend seemed to go off without a hitch, McIlroy was seen to be struggling with the Blue Monster throughout the tournament. At one point even throwing his club in the lake during a particularly frustrating moment on Friday.

Probably not his most dignified decision but luckily for him, Donald Trump made sure he got the wayward club back, just in time for Sunday’s final round.
