Jordan Spieth Recaptures World #1 after Securing 2015 FedEx Cup
American golfer Jordan Spieth has had an incredible season on the PGA Tour.  Culminating this weekend with his win at the Tour Championship, making him the 2015 FedEx Cup winner and £7.5 million richer!

The 22-year-old proved he was worthy of his superstar status on Sunday in Atlanta after a stellar final round 69 placed Spieth at the top of the leaderboard, 4-strokes ahead of Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose and Danny Lee.

“It’s just unreal and it really is going to be hard to sit down and come up with how we’re going to better it next year,” Spieth told reporters afterwards.  “I approached this week like it was another major because of what was at stake and it feels incredible to win again.”

After winning the first two majors of the season, Spieth’s incredible ride seemed to slow down over the past few weeks.  With the Titleist player entering the playoffs with two missed cuts at The Barclays and The Deutsche Bank tournaments.

Even by his own admission, Spieth’s form wasn’t perfect at East Lake over the weekend but what saved him – an insane short game and his Scotty Cameron SC-009 prototype by Titleist.

“My ball striking wasn’t great all week but my putter sure paid off,” said Spieth.

With Stenson adding, “‘Every time Jordan had a vital putt he made it and that makes him a very deserving winner.”

Known for his cool and calm demeanour on the course, it appears the Texas native is also a well-liked figure amongst his peers.  Just check out all the positive vibes sent from fellow players below.
