Tiger Woods Already Looking Ahead to 2014 Majors
As Tiger Woods prepares to play in his last tournament of 2013 he let reporters know on Wednesday that he’s already looking forward to the 2014 season.  Mainly tackling his 15th major.

Speaking about the four host courses for next year, Woods said, “I've won at every one except (U.S. Open venue) Pinehurst.”  Adding, “So I'm looking forward to the major championships.  They have set up well for me over the years, and I look forward to it.”

It’s been five years since Woods has secured a major win.  Despite a season most professionals would love to have, including winning the Players Championship and being named Player of the Year, Woods has still had to endure the constant chatter of if/when he will pull off another major victory.

“I certainly wish I could have played a little better in major championships,” the Nike player said Wednesday.  “I was there at the Masters and was there at the British (Open) certainly with a chance, but just didn't get it done.  The other two I just didn't play well.  But winning The Players Championship and then obviously four other events, I think it's a pretty good year.”

Today Woods and 17 of golf’s top names will be teeing off for the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge in Thousand Oaks, California.  The annual tournament benefits the 37-year-old’s foundation and has brought the golfer success in the past, with a record five-wins.

This year marks the last time the tournament will be played on the west coast before moving to Florida in 2014.  A decision Woods admitted was difficult to make but made sense as many players are based in the sunshine state.
