Tiger Woods Comes up Short in Turkey but Likes his Chances for a 2014 Major
Last week Tiger Woods literally stopped traffic in Istanbul as he hit a shot off the Bosphorus Bridge.  But the fabulous PR stunt wasn’t enough to earn him top honours at the Turkish Open on Sunday.

The Nike player finished in a tie for third with Justin Rose, 4-strokes behind French winner, Victor Dubuisson.  Woods will now take three weeks away from the sport before returning for his own charity tournament, the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge in early December.

As for how the 37-year-old sees his own performance level, he was quite open with reporters after Sunday’s finish.

You know, a couple years ago, there were a lot of guys, so many of you guys here, that were saying I could never win again,” said Woods.  “Got eight wins since then, so it's been good, and I'm very happy with the progress I've made. Woods remained confident when talk turned to his next possible major win.

I've had a third and second, and hopefully it will keep improving like it has,” he said.  “I'm looking forward to the four venues.  I like them, and obviously I've played well on them.
