Dustin Johnson continues his epic summer ride, securing his second consecutive victory this past Sunday at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, just two weeks after his first major win at Oakmont. The 2016 U.S. Open champion looked cool, calm and collected as he maneuvered his way around the South Course at Firestone C.C. Capitalising on Jason Day’s collapse during the final round to secure his third World Golf Championship.
Johnson’s latest win shoots him up to number two in the Official World Golf Rankings, a career high for the 32-year-old. The
TaylorMade Golf player is proving he’s one to really watch this season and is definitely riding high as he approaches The Open Championship later this month.

Over on the European Tour Thongchai Jaidee won the 100th Open de France at Le Golf National. At 46, Jaidee is the oldest-ever champion of the event, beating the former oldest and 2010 winner, Miguel Angel Jimenez, by 58 days. The
Titleist Golf player entered Sunday’s final round with a 2-stroke lead and was able to maintain his place at the top of leaderboard throughout the round. Culminating in what Jaidee has called his “perfect” week.
“Sometimes you need one perfect week. You can’t do well every week. This week is my perfect week because I didn’t miss much. Anything I missed, I found I could lay up and make a good shot and make par and that’s it,” the Thai golfer told reporters afterwards.
