Sergio Garcia Helps to Find a Diamond in the Rough

Sunday at the WGC-Bridgestone didn’t exactly go according to plan for Spain’s Sergio Garcia.

After entering the final day three-strokes ahead of his nearest competition, Garcia couldn’t contain Rory McIlroy’s surge to the top of the leaderboard.

But something even more interesting happened on Garcia’s third hole during his round on Sunday.  When an errant shot into the crowd almost saw the golfer having to buy a diamond for one unlucky spectator.

Watch the action below as the lady in question remains pretty cool considering Garcia has just knocked the diamond out of her engagement ring.  While the TaylorMade professional keeps it classy, giving her a signed golf ball and making sure someone got her contact details.  Luckily for all the diamond was recovered shortly afterwards!
