Callaway X Forged Utility Iron reviewed for us by Mark Crossfield

by Maura Hutchinson

With the release of the Callaway X Forged UT Iron, we wanted our entrusted Youtube Golf Guru Mark Crossfield to test it, take it out on the course and go through the key specifications. Some of the key features are that it comes in a range of lofts from 2 iron through to 6 iron. The UT iron has been designed with the help of Callaway’s vast professional tour player stable. They have a very modern chrome satin finish, a medium size top line, so not to be too chunky, and have very little offset.

Mark describes how Callaway has moved the centre of gravity in the club slightly. They have manovered it to the point where you might expect it to be right in the centre of the club head. Mark feels this will give the better players a more responsive feeling club. Aimed with that information Mark discusses how this club is aimed at the better ball strikers and how in terms of ball flight the X Forged UT Iron sits in the middle between irons and hybrids.
