We have enlisted the services of Mark Crossfield to review the new Callaway XR Steelhead Fairway Wood. The first thing Mark and you will notice is that as the name would suggest is that the club features the classic retro look from the previous Steelhead design from over a decade ago mixed in with the new XR branding and design.
The traditional silver face is complimented by a light blue carbon composite to keep the weight lower and further back to make it easier to get in the air and more forgiving. The fact this is not adjustable enables Callaway to move the weight lower in the head for maximum forgiveness. The shape of the head being slightly rounder than others on the market makes it a more versatile choice giving you the opportunity to play from many different lies and difference shots.
