The summit, set to take place during next month’s KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Rye, New York, will look to provide a springboard for the next generation of great female influencers.
“Nothing speaks more powerfully about the importance of the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit than the commitment of a remarkable group of leaders whose presence at the summit will inspire and empower the next generation of women leaders,” KPMG Global Chairman John Veihmeyer explained.
Adding, “These individuals have broken glass ceilings and blazed trails in their respective fields, and KPMG is excited about working with them to help make that a reality for a new generation of leaders.”
Yesterday’s announcement also set the LPGA Twitter community alight, with many players and fans voicing their support and excitement for the major and summit set to be hosted at the Westchester Country Club June 9-14, 2015.
Morgan Pressel tweeted, “How cool!! @CondoleezzaRice is the keynote speaker for the @KPMGInspire summit at the @KPMGWomensPGA!”
Rice seems like the perfect choice for the position, after all she was one of the first female members to be admitted to Augusta National in 2013. As the LPGA and KPMG look for ways to empower women and “grow the game,” this is a great first step in upping the women’s Tour profile.

Love that @CondoleezzaRice will keynote the inaugural KPMG Women's Leadership Summit. Such an important element of @LPGA's revamped major.
