Emirates Extends its Investment in the European Tour

Last week it was announced that the Dubai-based airline, Emirates is to become the official airline of the European Tour.  On hand to help with announcement was the 2014 Ryder Cup captain, Paul McGinley.
 
A new four-year deal will take Emirates involvement in the 2014 Tour from 9 tournaments to 19.  The additions include the BMW PGA Championship, the Nordea Masters, the Portugal Masters and the Nelson Mandela Championship.
 
In a statement, an Emirates executive vice president Nigel Hopkins said, “Golf is one of the most popular sports in the world, and as a global sponsorship platform it has been immensely successful for us.”
