Henrik Stenson makes History again in 2013

It has been an incredible year for Henrik Stenson.  Topped off this week by becoming the first Swede to win the Race to Dubai European Tour Golfer of the Year Award.

“You can call it a dream season, year of my life, whatever you want.  It has been an unbelievable year and I am delighted to win this award, especially as I am the first Swede to do so,” Stenson said.

Over the past season the 37-year-old’s top form has also earned him the exclusive honour of winning both the PGA Tour FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai title.  A feat never before achieved by the same golfer in the same year.

Stenson is now ranked number three in the world, right behind Tiger Woods and Adam Scott.  The only thing he’s missing now - a major title.

“The majors are the biggest goal for me now and if I can continue to play at the level I have been then I feel I can have a pretty good shot at them.”
