Park managed an incredible final round, carding 7 birdies and 1 eagle to surpass compatriot Jin Young Ko with a 12-under 276 total. Marking the South Korean’s seventh career major title and her fourth win of the season. An even more impressive stat – Park has now won the last six out of 14 major events!
“It’s the greatest day of my life yet, for sure,” said Park afterwards. “It was a great day of golf today. I played great out there. Even though I made a couple of early mistakes, I was able to hold on really well on the back nine.”
The 27-year-old’s record clearly speaks for itself, proving Park well and truly deserves her No. 1 status.
“I finally reached my goal,” the golfer continued. “It’s just a relief. I’m so happy with everything. I didn’t feel that confident before this week, but to overcome a lot of things to win this championship is phenomenal.”
With her victory at Turnberry over the weekend, Park (according to some) has now completed her career Grand Slam. Last year the LPGA instated the Evian Championship as the Tour’s fifth major. Park had won this event the previous year, leaving opinions divided on whether or not the golfer has actually reached this impressive goal.
It's official: Inbee Park has claimed the career grand slam.
"This is the greatest day of my life. The golf gods were on my side, for sure."

Inbee Park shoots -7 to win major #7 at Women's British. All she needs now is Evian for career grand slam. She won it before it was a major.

With the fifth and final major of the season set to take place in France next month, Park is now firmly focused on continuing her winning streak. We don’t think she’ll have any problems!
Inbee Park is like Jordan Spieth. They don't feel like dominant golfers, they just dominate. Don't overpower courses, they out-think them.
