Mark Crossfield reviews the new Mizuno JPX EZ Forged Iron

by Maura Hutchinson

Mark Crossfield takes a look the new Mizuno JPX EZ Forged Irons. Here are his thoughts, the JPX EZ forged irons have a stylish dark black nickel finish, they feature Boron infused metal that strengthens the head and enables them to create a thinner surface. The thinner surface area means they have been able to move the weight to different areas of the face to make the club more forgiving with off centre hits.

When you set the club next to the ball at address it would sit between Mizuno’s oversize clubs and their pure blade clubs.  Mark suggests that for a club that is as forgiving as this it doesn’t loose its great looks as some do when they have so much forgiveness.

It could be called a crossover club, a great looking club with lots of forgiveness. The feel is slightly firmer than a traditional Mizuno iron but Mark thinks that doesn’t detract from the club.
