The 29-year-old is having a pretty stellar year on Tour. With three wins and numerous top-10 finishes, Lewis is on top of her game and helping to draw bigger crowds to the Ladies Tour around the world.
Earlier this year Lewis was among many detractors who objected to Golf Digest using model Paulina Gretzky on their cover instead of a female professional golfer.
"Its frustrating for female golfers", Lewis said at the time. "Its the state of where we've always been. We don't get the respect for being the golfers we are. Obviously, Golf Digest is trying to sell magazines, but at the same time you like to see a little respect for the women's game."
It seems Golf Magazine has taken notice and given the hard working American the recognition she deserves.
Up next for the LPGA star the Sime Darby this weekend at the Kuala Lumpar Golf and Country Club. Lewis has already begun making her mark on the tournament with an impressive 6-under-65 during today's first round. So will she be able to score her 4th win the season come Sunday?
