TaylorMade Releases Three Tour-Inspired Putters

by Maura Hutchinson

TaylorMade Golf has released their latest editions of counterbalanced putters with the Tour-inspired Daddy Long Legs, Spider Blade and Spider Mallet.

Last year the brand debuted their first versions of the counterbalanced putters with the Daddy Long Legs and Spider Blade. Later adding in the Spider Mallet and the incredibly stable Ghost Spider Si.

Reimagined for 2014 using insight from some of the TaylorMade Tour professionals including Sergio Garcia and Jason Day, the brand’s new line of putters encourages players to “grip down” 2-3 inches below the top end grip during normal stance, posture and address. Ensuring the weight above your hands increases to promote greater stroke-stability.

The new design also features a sleek colour scheme that employs an exclusive black finish and white tungsten heel/toe weights, helping to frame the ball at address.

TaylorMade’s director of iron, wedge and putter creation, Tomo Bystedt explains, “The new tour-inspired cosmetic is visually stunning, while also delivering the ultimate in stability and performance.”

Adding, “Each of these putters promote an extremely stable putting stroke, to help golfers deliver a consistent roll time after time.”
