Woods Bends Over in Pain, Left Six Strokes Behind the Leader
by Maura Hutchinson
Woods looked to have the worst of it at No 11, bending over in pain after hitting his second shot from the left rough. Following his next shot his arm immediately dropped to his side and he was seen shaking it as he walked along on the green.
With weather being a factor in everyone’s game, Woods finished 10 holes at 2 over, before play was called as a result of darkness. Leaving him 6 strokes behind the current leader, Luke Donald.
“It’s kind of the way the tour has been this year,” said Woods. “We’ve had a lot of bad weather this year and this is the way it has been.”
Friday will be a demanding day for Woods as he will have to cover 26 holes, bringing a close to his first and second rounds.
“It's going to be a fast night,” remarked Woods. “I've got a lot of holes to play tomorrow, and hopefully I can play a little better than I did today.”
