Callaway Introduces a Series of “Custom Fit” Golf Balls

Callaway Introduces a Series of “Custom Fit” Golf Balls
Yesterday Callaway Golf unveiled its newest line of golf balls, the Callaway Speed Regime.  Available in three separate models, the brand hopes its new product will be beneficial to golfers of all abilities.

Designed to a players’ individual swing speed, each of the three versions aims to maximise distance and speed.  Helping to achieve longer and more stable ball flights.  The SR1 is for golfers with a speed spin of 90 mph and below, the SR2 for those that are 90-105 mph and the SR3 for swing speeds over 105.

The thought process behind the creation of the Speed Regime rests in ordinary players wondering if they should be using the same ball their favourite pro plays with.

As Callaway's senior director of golf ball research and development, Dave Bartels explains, “I've occasionally heard golfers question whether or not they should be playing the same ball as Phil Mickelson since they don't swing like Phil.  There's actually a bit of truth to that.”

He also states, “By individualising the performance of golf balls, meeting the specific requirements of different types of golfer, Speed Regime offers total performance to help lower scores.”

The new Speed Regime Golf Balls will be available in Europe from January 31, 2014.
