TaylorMade Launches 3-Wood Designed for the Tee with SLDR Mini
TaylorMade has announced the release of the SLDR Mini Driver to close the gap for players who frequently drive with their 3-wood.

“Tour pros and better amateurs often hit their 3-wood off the tee more often than from the fairway,” TaylorMade’s Senior Director of Metalwood Creation explains. “We embraced that fact to create a metalwood that’s sized between a 3-wood and driver and is designed to be easy to hit off a tee.”

The SLDR Mini features the same low forward centre of gravity as the SLDR Driver as well as TaylorMade’s amazing Speed Pocket technology to give golfers reduced spin and more distance.

Its sleek and modern design has already proven a hit with players on Tour. With Troy Matteson putting two SLDR Minis in his bag during the Valero Texas Open, one for off the tee and another for off the deck.

While this year’s Dubai Desert Classic winner, Stephen Gallacher praised the club stating, “I like the look of it. It’s not too small and it’s not too big.  So you can hit it off the ground no problem.”

There has even been talk of Justin Rose using the SLDR Mini this week at Augusta, with the Englishman instagramming a photo of the club with the caption, “Been working with the amazing NEW @taylormadegolf #Mini driver this week, may have the #SLDR and #Mini driver in the bag at Augusta. Will keep you posted during the week. #LoftUp.”

The SLDR Mini comes in lofts 12, 14 and 16 and also in Mini TP version.  TaylorMade’s newest creation will be available in the UK from the middle of May.
