Product Description for Longridge Checker Balls
Putting Alignment System

Incorrect grip, alignment, stance and stroke all result in missed putts. PGA statistics show that golf pros sink 85% of their three foot putts, but only 60% of their six foot putts.

CheckerBalls Putting Alignment System will help you perfect your putting technique for six foot putts and under. Designed for putting practice only, CheckerBalls are a great golf training aid for hitting putts squarely, accurately and developing a sound pre-stroke routine. Use on any level surface at home, the office or on the putting green.

Practicing with a normal golf ball, it is difficult to see if you are striking the golf ball with the putter face held square to the golf ball. If you strike a normal golf ball with a slightly open or closed face, it will roll smoothly and you will not immediately know how well you squared up the club face at impact.

CheckerBalls putting aids give instant visual feedback on alignment, rolling straight only when struck squarely by the clubface. If the ball curves to the right, the clubface is open. If the ball curves to the left, the clubface is closed.
Unlike a normal golf ball, the CheckerBall has TWO points of contact as shown below. If you strike a CheckerBall with a slightly open or closed club face, you will know immediately! Struck with a slightly open face, the CheckerBall will wobble severely to the right. Struck with a closed face, it wobbles to the left!

The distance between the two contact points determines how sensitive the CheckerBall putting training aid is to the angle of the putter face at impact. The greater the distance between the points, the more sensitive the ball is to face angle at impact.

CheckerBalls come in 3 different sensitivity levels. The GREEN striped ball is the less sensitive and is designed for the novice golfer (it is the easiest to roll straight). As you improve your putting consistency, practice with the advanced level BLUE striped ball.

The RED striped ball is the most sensitive to face angle deviation and is the most challenging to putt straight.
