The New Arc Lite Stand System.

The Nexos is OGIO's first stand bag to offer the new Arc Lite Stand System.
Designed with sleek, racing-inspired lines and an exoskeleton structure, the Nexos represents the "best of the best" in OGIO bag design including a 10" Wedge top; the acclaimed Zipperless Ball Pocket (ZBP); a GPS Range Finder pocket with an easy view window; a walking-accessible water bottle holster; and even a cigar pocket with matching embossed cigar caddy. In effort to eliminate so-called "leg-catch syndrome," Ogio has created the Arc Lite Stand System. With the stability and responsiveness of its previous leg designs, the new Arc Lite deploys in an arced motion, providing the player with a wide berth between the bag's legs and his or her own. When it is retracted, the legs come together 50 percent faster than with traditional systems, then snap into place against the bag. The net result: no more tangles.

by Lloyd Hobden	As a fan from previous sports, I looked straight to Ogio for my first golf bag. As expected, their bags offer great styling and unique features. After comparing the competition I made an informed decision to go for the Nexos, owing to its versatility as a carry/cart bag and the "Arc Lite" system. Given the limited colour choice I chose black/gold. Executive summary: Very good bag, arguably best in class, just have to look past the odd gimmick / annoyance and decide if its worth it to you. Having received the bag, I was initially impressed by the overall styling, and materials used, though I must be honest, the gold was a little more green than I expected. Being very critical, some of the hard white plastic used actually looks a little cream when beside the truly-brilliant-white material. Generally though, there's no doubt that this is a good looking stick-holder. The construction quality is very high (zips nice and smooth etc.) and the amount of padding on the bag and its carry straps is excellent. There is a very nice, solid metal "Ogio" emblem on the top of the bag. The included "cigar caddy" is most definitely a novelty item; the plastic feels cheap and it is notchy in operation. The divot tool is however much better. As I said, this is my first golf bag and, to me, the Wedge top does perhaps feel a little tight; more than three irons in a segment makes retrieving a club difficult and even with three clubs, ensuring that the grips are sitting on the base of the bag is necessary when putting clubs away. The amount of storage is perfect for me and the pocket placement is good. I was pleased to find that the "valuables" pocket is lined with a soft material making it perfect for sunglasses. The "Arc Lite" leg system is generally very effective but I find that deploying it first time can be hit or miss (maybe there's a knack?). It certainly retracts very quickly and the legs seat on the magnets every time without fail. Again, I am being highly critical of what is a very innovative and usable solution. Finally, the Hoode is a little tricky to fit properly but all-weather golfers will appreciate its inclusion and functionality. It's a little pricey but I think that Ogio really are in a class of their own, pushing the boundaries of innovation and, as a result, they have a very loyal following. This bag really is very versatile and no doubt to many golfers, as much a style statement as a piece of functional equipment, which is fine. Ogio is a bag company, they make bags... damned good ones like the Nexos.
